The adjuster already knows our name.

Buckshot is a preferred contractor in 5 major insurance carrier programs. That means adjusters already recognize how we document, scope, and substantiate damage, so your claim moves faster, gets scoped completely, and is far less likely to stall. What "Preferred" Means For YouSEC 01 / 07

Network status isn't a badge. It's a faster, fuller claim.

Being a preferred contractor in a carrier's program means the insurer has already vetted how we work. For you, that vetting turns into three concrete advantages when you file.

Claims move faster

Because adjusters already know our documentation format and standards, there's less back-and-forth on scope and substantiation, which keeps your claim moving instead of stalling.

Scopes come back fuller

We document every impact the way each program expects, so damage that's commonly missed or denied is substantiated up front and more likely to land in the approved scope.

Less risk of a stalled claim

An established track record with the carrier means fewer surprises, fewer reinspections, and a lower chance of the kind of dispute that leaves homeowners stuck.

Our Carrier ProgramsSEC 02 / 07

Pre-approved through 5 insurance carrier programs.

These are the managed-repair and contractor networks Buckshot is approved in. Being in them means we already know how each one documents, depreciates, and approves a claim.

CC

Contractor Connection

Managed repair network

One of the largest contractor networks used by major insurers to assign vetted, performance-tracked contractors to property claims.

N

Nexus

Carrier program

A carrier-side claims program we're approved in, so assignments and documentation move through a channel the insurer already trusts.

In

Innovation

Carrier program

Another program where our standing means the adjuster and the insurer recognize our scope reports and estimates on arrival.

Se

Sedgwick

Claims administrator

One of the largest third-party claims administrators. Our approval here streamlines assignment and review on the claims they manage.

M

MSP

Carrier program

A managed program we participate in, adding another channel where our documentation standards are already established.

Your carrier too

Any insurer welcome

Not on this list? It doesn't matter. We work with any insurance carrier, the programs just speed things up where they apply.

Important: you do not need to use one of these programs, and you never have to switch insurers. We work directly with whatever carrier you already have. Being in these networks simply means that, where they apply, your claim moves through a channel the insurer already trusts.

Your job is short. Ours is the rest.

Homeowners are often surprised how little they have to do once we're involved. Here's the honest split.

Buckshot handles

The whole insurance side

  • Free inspection and full damage documentation
  • The claim report in adjuster format, photos and measurements
  • Attending the adjuster meeting and advocating scope
  • Reconciling the adjuster's estimate for completeness
  • Supplements for anything missed in the first scope
  • The repair or replacement, often in one day
  • Final walkthrough and warranty paperwork
You handle

Three short things

  • Book the free inspection by phone or form
  • File the claim with your insurer (we tell you what to say)
  • Pay your deductible, on most covered claims that's your only out-of-pocket cost

On a Replacement Cost Value policy, your deductible is typically all you pay; we bill the insurer for the approved scope.

Know Your CoverageSEC 04 / 07

ACV or RCV decides what you pay.

Your policy type is the single biggest factor in your out-of-pocket cost. We read your policy summary with you during the inspection and explain it in plain terms before you file.

Replacement Cost Value

RCV, the better case

Covers the full replacement cost minus your deductible. For most covered claims this means you pay only your deductible and we bill the insurer for the rest. RCV is what makes "a new roof for your deductible" possible.

Actual Cash Value

ACV, depreciation applies

Factors in depreciation based on roof age, so the initial payout is reduced. We document the full scope so any recoverable depreciation can be claimed back after the work is completed, rather than written off.

Already denied or underpaid? A denial often traces to weak documentation or damage not clearly tied to a storm. We re-inspect, document properly, and can file a supplemental claim for items the first scope missed. See how claims work →
How It WorksSEC 05 / 07

From first call to final check.

A step-by-step process built to take the paperwork burden off you entirely. The adjuster meeting is the step most contractors skip, and the one that most decides your outcome.

Free inspection

We inspect at no charge, photograph every impact, and give you a written summary before we leave.

Claim documentation

A damage report in the format adjusters use: photos with measurements and a line-item estimate.

Adjuster meeting, we attend

Our project manager attends in person and advocates a complete scope. The step most contractors skip.

Approved & built

Once approved we schedule fast, most replacements in a single day. We handle the paperwork, not you.

I paid my deductible and Buckshot worked with the insurance on the bill so I didn't have to. They handled everything and the work was excellent.

Q.01Do I have to use one of your insurance partners?+
No. We work with any insurance carrier you already have, and you never have to switch insurers. The 5 carrier programs simply mean that, where they apply, your claim moves through a channel the insurer already trusts, which tends to speed things up. If your carrier isn't one of them, nothing changes about how we handle your claim. See the programs →
Q.02What does being a "preferred contractor" actually get me?+
It means the insurer has already vetted how we document and scope claims, so there's less back-and-forth, fuller approved scopes, and a lower chance of a stalled claim. The adjuster recognizes our reporting format on arrival, which keeps your claim moving instead of bogging down in scope disputes.
Q.03Will I only pay my deductible?+
On most covered claims with a Replacement Cost Value policy, yes, you pay your deductible and we bill the insurer for the approved scope. On an Actual Cash Value policy, depreciation applies and we document the full scope so recoverable depreciation can be claimed back after the work. We confirm your specific policy before you file. ACV vs RCV →
Q.04Do you attend the adjuster meeting?+
Yes, in person. When your insurer sends an adjuster, our project manager attends, walks them through each documented point, answers technical questions, and advocates for a complete scope. This is the step most contractors skip, and the one that most determines your outcome.
Q.05My claim was denied or underpaid. Can the network help?+
Often, yes. Denials and lowball offers usually trace to incomplete documentation. We re-inspect, document properly, and can file a supplemental claim for items the first scope missed. Our standing with the carrier programs can help that re-review move smoothly. Insurance claims help →
Q.06Are you a public adjuster?+
No. We're your roofing contractor. We document damage, provide a professional scope and estimate, and coordinate with your insurer as the contractor doing the work. We are not Iowa public adjusters and don't offer public adjusting services (Iowa Code §522C). What we provide is expert documentation and advocacy for a complete, accurate scope.
