Insurance Preferred Programs Contractor

An approved contractor your insurer already knows.

Buckshot works with major insurance carrier programs, including Contractor Connection, as an approved contractor. It can make your storm claim smoother and better coordinated, though your insurer always decides your coverage, not us. Family-owned since 1979.

What Preferred Programs AreSEC 01 / 05

A vetted contractor, ready to go.

Insurance carriers and their networks keep lists of contractors they've reviewed and approved to work on claims. Buckshot is part of several. Here's what that means for you, and what it doesn't.

Pre-vetted contractor

These programs maintain networks of contractors that carriers have reviewed and approved. Being in them means we've already met those bars before your claim even starts.

A smoother process

Working inside a program we already know can make the paperwork and coordination faster and less confusing for you during an already-stressful time.

What it is not

Being a preferred contractor does not mean we adjust your claim or decide your coverage. Your insurer does that. We're your contractor, not your insurance company.

Important: our role on a claim
Buckshot is a contractor, not a public adjuster. We can inspect your property, document the damage, and work with your carrier on the repair, but we do not negotiate, adjust, or settle claims, and being in a preferred program does not get a claim approved or change what your policy pays. Whether a claim is covered, and for how much, is determined by your insurance company and your policy.

A completed Buckshot roof installed by our own crews

Less friction when you need it least.

A storm claim is stressful enough. Working with a contractor your carrier's program already recognizes can take some of the friction out of it, while you keep full control of your claim:

  • Familiar process, we know how these programs document and coordinate, so less gets lost in translation.
  • Honest documentation, we record what damage is actually there, with photos, for your claim.
  • You pay your deductible, and we handle the rest of the repair process with your carrier.
  • We work with any carrier, in a program or not, so you're never boxed in by who insures you.

Q.01Does being a preferred contractor mean my claim gets approved?+
No. This is the most important thing to understand: being in a preferred program does not approve your claim or change what your policy pays. Your insurance company decides coverage based on your policy and the damage. What a program can do is make the process smoother. Our role on a claim →
Q.02Do you adjust or negotiate my insurance claim?+
No. We're a contractor, not a public adjuster. We inspect, document the damage with photos, and work with your carrier on the repair, but we do not negotiate, adjust, or settle claims. Your insurer determines coverage. Insurance claims →

A smoother claim starts with an honest inspection.

Buckshot General Contracting is a family-owned exterior contractor (since 1979), headquartered at 621 N Sherman Ave, Suite B5, Madison, WI 53704, and licensed across 24 states. Buckshot participates in certain insurance carrier and claims-management programs as an approved contractor; program names and logos are the property of their respective owners, and participation does not imply endorsement by those companies. Buckshot is a contractor and not a public adjuster: it does not negotiate, adjust, or settle insurance claims, and participation in any program does not approve a claim or change what a policy pays.
