    —  The Five Steps

    SEC 01 / 07

Every Buckshot project follows the same path.

Whether it's a single repair or a full replacement, the process is the same five steps, so you always know what's next. Here's what each one involves.

    Day one · no cost

    Free inspection & written report

A Buckshot team member inspects your full roof, documents everything with photos, and gives you a written summary of what they found, whether you need a repair, a replacement, or nothing yet. We tell you honestly. We respond to requests within 2 hours.

    Within a couple of days

    Clear, itemized estimate

You get an estimate that lists every material and labor line, not a vague square-footage number. We walk through it with you and answer every question before anything is signed. No pressure, no fine-print surprises. Financing is available if you'd like to spread out the cost.

    Materials, colors & scheduling

You choose your GAF shingle line and color, we lock in a date that works for you, and we pull any required permits. As a GAF Master Elite contractor we walk every option, from Timberline HDZ to designer profiles, so the roof fits your home and budget.

Install day · often one day

Our own crew builds your roof

Our in-house crew, never subcontracted, completes most homes in a single day: full tear-off to the decking, decking inspection, ice and water shield, underlayment, GAF shingles, and flashing. We protect your property with tarps and sweep every nail with magnets at the end.

    Final walkthrough & warranty registration

We do a final inspection with you, make sure the site is spotless, and then register your GAF warranty for you and hand over the paperwork. Your roof is backed by the GAF System Plus warranty plus our written craftsmanship guarantee, and we keep your records on file.

    SEC 02 / 07

Paying directly or filing a claim?

The core five steps stay the same, but if you're filing an insurance claim, we add the documentation and adjuster work, the part most homeowners dread, and handle it for you.

    Track A · Standard project

    You're paying directly

A straightforward repair, replacement, or upgrade you're funding yourself or with financing.

    Simple, fast, no middleman.

    Track B · Insurance claim

    Storm or hail damage

We add full claim documentation and attend the adjuster meeting, the step most contractors skip.

Most homeowners pay only their deductible.

On an insurance claim, your part is short: book the inspection, file the claim, and pay your deductible. See how insurance claims work →

    —  Why It Works This Way

    SEC 04 / 07

A process built to remove the guesswork.

Roofing is stressful because it usually feels opaque. We built our process to do the opposite, here's what that means for you.

    You always know what's next

The same five steps every time, with a written report and itemized estimate, so nothing is a surprise and you're never guessing what happens next.

    One team, start to finish

The same company inspects, quotes, and builds, with our own crews and one project manager as your point of contact. No handoffs, no subcontractors.

    It ends with real protection

Every project finishes with a registered GAF System Plus warranty plus our written craftsmanship guarantee, backed by a company family-owned since 1979.

We respond within 2 hours during business hours to schedule a free inspection. A Buckshot team member comes out, assesses your full roof, documents it with photos, and gives you a written summary, with no cost and no obligation. That’s the entire first step. See all five steps →
It varies by project, but the inspection happens fast (often within a day or two of reaching out), and once you approve the estimate and pick materials, most replacements are installed in a single day. Repairs are usually quicker. Insurance claims add time for the adjuster process, which we manage for you.
It’s not required, though many homeowners like to be around for the start and the final walkthrough. Your project manager keeps you updated throughout, and since most installs finish in a day, it’s rarely a long disruption. We protect your property and clean up completely before we leave.
No, never. Every crew member is a Buckshot employee, supervised by the same foreman. The crew that quotes your roof is the crew that builds it, which is exactly why our written workmanship warranty means something. Meet the team →
We add the claim documentation and attend the adjuster meeting in person, the step most contractors skip. Your part stays short: book the inspection, file the claim, and pay your deductible. On most covered claims that’s your only out-of-pocket cost. How claims work →
A finished roof, a clean site, and your warranty registered with GAF plus our written craftsmanship guarantee, paperwork in hand. We keep your job records on file, so any future question, claim, or warranty transfer is simple. Our warranties →
