Chad Yates built Buckshot from the ladder up.
Chad grew up in Orfordville, Wisconsin, learning the roofing trade the hard way, as a laborer working beside his brothers under his father’s company, Yates Construction. He learned the work from the bottom before he ever ran a business.
With that foundation, Chad started Buckshot General Contracting, and he’s still in the field today, meeting homeowners and selling jobs himself rather than from behind a desk.
When he isn’t working, you’ll find him coaching his son Archer’s basketball team or cheering on his daughters Ellie and Addison at their volleyball games. When Chad and the BGC team arrive at your door, you can expect a personable, respectful, and responsive experience.

A lot of roofing companies sell the job, then hand it to whatever subcontractor is available that week. We don’t. Every Buckshot crew is made up of our own trained employees, supervised by the same foreman, accountable to the same standards.
